Experience God. Encourage one another. Engage the world.

Good News! Great Joy!

How can I know God - not just know about Him but know Him personally?  How do I become a Christian - a Christ follower?  What does it mean to be saved? How can I get to Heaven?

I have written these things ... so that you may know that you have eternal life (1 John 5:13).

Jesus Christ can give you direction and peace in your life.  You can experience forgiveness and eternal life in Heaven, and also a full and meaningful life here on earth.

Millions of people have had their lives changed by His love.  You can meet this living Savior in a life-changing encounter today!  Celebrate Jesus Christ with us by receiving Him into your life!  Here's how!

God loves us!

For God loved the world in this way: He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life (John 3:16, HCSB).

God wants us to live a full and meaningful life.

Jesus Christ says:

... I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance (John 10:10, HCSB).

God wants us to enjoy eternity with Him in Heaven.

If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come back and receive you to Myself, so that where I am you may be also (John 14:3, HCSB).

If God loves the whole world, why are most people not experiencing the full and meaningful life He offers?

Our problem is sin.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23, HCSB).

Our sin problem leads to separation from God.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23, HCSB).

Sin costs!  The ultimate cost of sin is death and an eternity apart from God.  But God loves us and has provided a way for us to experience forgiveness of sin, abundant life on earth, and everlasting life in Heaven.

Jesus Christ is God who became man.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ... The Word became flesh, and took up residence among us (John 1:1,14, HCSB)

Jesus Christ died on the cross for us.

We all went astray like sheep; we all have turned to our own way; and the Lord has punished Him for the iniquity of us all  (Isaiah 53:6, HCSB).

Jesus Christ defeated death for us.

He was delivered up for our trespasses and was raised for our justification (Romans 4:25, HCSB).

It is not enough just to know the facts about Jesus Christ.  We must turn from our own ways and turn to Him.  We must believe and receive Him to be saved.

But to all who did receive Him, He gave them the right to be children of God, to those who believe in His name (John 1:12, HCSB).

How To Receive Jesus Christ:

A personal relationship with God begins by praying to receive Christ:

For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved (Romans 10:13, HCSB).

You can use the following prayer right now as a guide.

“Lord, thank You for loving me and coming to earth to show us the way.  I believe You died to pay for my sin and You were raised from the dead to give me eternal life.  I want to turn from my sin and place my faith in You right now.  Please come into my life and be my Savior and Lord.  Show me how to live and help me to follow You always.  In Your name I pray, amen.”

How To Grow As a Christian:

1.     Read the Bible every day.  Begin with the Gospel according to John (the fourth book in the New Testament).  Learn as much as you can about Jesus.

2.     Pray daily.  Prayer is talking to God.  You can pray anytime, even when you sin or fail in life.

3.     Attend a good church where Jesus Christ is honored, the Bible is taught, and everyone is welcomed.

4.     Tell someone who would be happy to hear about your decision to follow Jesus Christ.
